Question Question about the Yamaha YZF R1

Hello all,

I dont know if im posting this in the right section...
But I was gonna start on the Yamaha YZF R1 2007 model from the Yamaha Site (the ultrarealistic blue one.
Ive read somewhere that there are some problems with fitting stuff and all and I was wondering if maybe someone knows some of the problems that I might face building this.
Also Ive tried building it once before but didnt finish it because I thought I was doing something wrong because I couldnt manage to get the frame fitted over the engine, and also the left and right bottom parts of the frame werent the same lenght. Is this one of the problems within the model or just something Ive done wrong?

It would really help if someone maybe could give me some tips on this

Thanks in advance ^^

Does this help? Yamaha YZF-R1

I would just search the forum here for 'Yamaha' and see what comes up. Is the YZR1 the same model?

Hi

Yes, I did find some problems with the 2007 version of the YZF-R1, though looking back they seem very minor compared with those of the 2013 YZR-M1! I presume that you have seen my brief thread about it, which referred you to my web site for details. Unfortunately, I removed the construction pages about a year ago, thinking that they were no longer of interest (!)

However, I have just uploaded them again, so you should be able to see them on my web site Paper Models.

Unfortunately VK that is the much older (1999) version of the YZF-R1.

Yes, it is there under "Motor Cycles", "Yamaha" and "YZF-R1 2007", but you may have the old page cached. Try refreshing the page (F5 key on Firefox, but I don't know about other browsers), and you should see a large link "Construction Photographs". If you still can't, you may have to wait for a day or two for your ISP to clear its cache.
