The Stratos was one of many cars of this shape and style
in the late 60s, early 70s. This was very common styling. If anything, the inspiration for the Countach, was the Pantera. I drove a kit car that was based on this Stratos style design (thats why the Stratos has been on my KoolWheelz list from the beginning. I just never got around to finishing on it) The car I drove was as low as the Stratos, but it had side doors. It was absolutely ridiculous to get in and out of. The owner showed me his method, which was to sit on the road, beside the car and roll sideways into the open doorway, and into the driver's seat. Once in the car, the driving position was basically laying flat on your back with your head raised on a pillow! The Stratos looks a little more comfortable, but I see no way to get in and out comfortably. Probably explains why Lancia never showed anyone getting in or out! Anyway, it might be a very silly car, but it is still a very cool shape.

Mike, that is a very impressive model.
I really like it. You have got all the correct shapes and details, but with so few parts! I don't even want to bother with a KoolWheelz version now! Hey...maybe I will send you a pm about turning this into a Koolwheelz miniature. Do you think that would be possible? I would of course credit you for the basic model design. You don't have to decide here and now. In fact, I won't be bothering with KoolWheelz models for a long time. Too much other work. I'll send you aPM and we can discuss it in private.
