Hi Peter,

A most ambitious and excellent project judging by the look of your steam powered elephant engine. I remember reading the Jules Verne stories as a kid and was always fascinated by his imagination and creative devices. Looking forward to watching the rest of this one take shape.

Quite the little Victorian era set of projects you have there Chris, very nicely done.

Thanks Billy,

Now I can go relive some of my old childhood memories in paper and card. Not to mention add to an ever growing stash of paper model kits. :D

I happen to owe a very old copy of the (dutch-translation)of the Jules Verne book, always loved those little bit scary illustrations...
BTW, I did the Albatros 2 years ago over on Zealot, it is still one of my favourite builds

Great illustration pics Billy!!!! I remember your "Albatros" build.. very nice work. The JV Special was one of their best IMO. All the models are ones you would want to build at some point.

I also remember your Albatross build, Billy! Great stuff!
I agree that the JV Special was a real treat. I only wish there were more JV models in it!

My eyes are getting bad, did you post this shot, Billy?

Chris
PS. This thread is getting my energy up to re-attack the Steam House and continue on with the other JV models!

There's nothing wrong with your eye-sight Chris;
The "Steamhouse" tale has two parts; The Demons of Crawnpore, and Tigers&Traitors, I think I only have part 2..

Nice illustration Chris!!!!! Wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't the one the model was based on...
Messing with the wheels with the little I've done. Cutting out the spaces between the spokes. Still not quite sure how the rest of the wheel is assemble, but maybe it will "like magic", become clear to me as move along.. Works on other kits.......... If you start and want to post away in here, I have no problem with it..
