Grazie Enrico!
Now I'm starting the body of the Diatto. The instrument panel has been copied from the original Diatto, as for the various "Watches", even if the scale factor has made then illegible. I will put the floor with the pedals and gears after. The model will be painted, so the colors you see are only for reference (by the way, I think I will use a red wine one, like the original, not the light red you see). I'm using a laser print since my Brother Inkjet one crashed one year ago... Notice how the color vanished around the bend... |

These are the suspension and, I don't know the name either in English neither in Italian, the "shield" of the engine and transmission, just under the bonnet.

Hi Michael,
unfortunately, the models I build are, at least for now, for myself. My dream it's to build a little website like the Zio Prudenzio with some of my model for free, but I don't find the time to do it, or the time to organize the pieces of the various kit. Normally, I print and start to built... then, as soon I realized that some pieces are wrong, I re-print them with the next paper, so, when I check the old files, never I can realize what pieces are right or which are wrong. |

Ok, ok, I cheated, I have to admit that,
I tried in various way to recreate the air vents on the bonnet, without success. At the end I had to rely on a peace of tin from a beer can, where I created them hammering a screwdriver. In the picture, you can see the tin piece together with the paper one, and then mounted on the chassis body. |

That's not cheating - what you have now is a mixed-media model. Nothing wrong with that. You had a problem and solved it in a clever way. Good for you!

The radiator it's now completed. To reproduce the texture of it, I used a band aid. With the zoom it doesn't look right, but I can assure you that in the real world it gives a good effect.
