Need an engine

I've been searching for a Ford Model A engine.

Does anyone have/know of such kit?

Thanks!

I know of nothing by itself, but if you have them, the roadsters from Zio have open engine bays, and a simplistic engine

GAZ Model A

If you find a model of a Russian GAZ from the 1930s with an engine (seems to me I have seen a couple), they were Model A trucks built under license in Russia. Hope this helps.

Regards,
John

I am assuming you want a paper one to rescale as needed?

The suggestion from Yukonjohn is a good one for a 30's era Ford four cylinder. I've built the one in Angraf's Gaz AA truck many moons ago.

If you want a flathead V-8 for any reason, you might want to try Gremir's F15 Ford model.

Of course, if medium is not a concern and you are working in 1/25 or 1/24 scale, there's bunches of them there newfangled plastic ones...

As Gregg said there is one in Angraf's Gaz AA. Not all that accurate but as close as you can come in paper that I know of.

what scale Ray?
How big?
How many parts, details, etc.
I could probably bang something together if its not too complicated.
Model A had a straight Four.
Do you have a particular look in mind?
Post a pic of the engine you want?

Here's one used in a Sears Economy tractor.

I have plenty of refence images for the model A L4(thanks!)
I was just thinking he might have a particular application.
They were painted different colours...
the bell housings and trannies were different,
the intake and carb setup might be different.

I could do this if its a small scale, overly simplified model.
But if its anything too complicated, then I may not have the time.

Just trying to help, since this thread has been up a while.

Well, here is what I am looking for.

Scale would be 1/32.

A Ford model A engine, used in the original Pietenpol Air Camper, is what I'm looking for.

I am planning (key word) another cutaway, so it needs to be detailed.

Thanks for all your help!!!

Thanks Dave!
