Farm Equipment

Thank you for all the great comments / compliments. I am slowly working to build some older models. I plan to venture into the 1950s and build an 50, 60, and 70 John Deere all of which we had on our farm in Iowa. The 60 is still working on the farm today.

I just completed another John Deere implement from the 90s an 845 12 row narrow folding cultivator with rolling crop shields. I paired it with a John Deere 8210 with FWA.

Enjoy.
Matt

Matt - I really enjoy your models and I am in awe of all your farming implements.

Have you ever shown them off to any of the farming community? You should lend some to your local tractor/implement supplier/co-op!

How many tractors do you have now? And implements?

Completed some more 1/64 scale farm equipment and farmstead paper models. A 21' diameter 24' tall pair of grain bins. One is a Brock dry holding bin that I added a Sukup unloading auger to and a Sukup drying bin that I constructed with a clear panel on the roof so you can see the inside detail. It has a fill leveler, stir-a-tor and a floor sweep auger. I also put a JD 4320 tractor in the photos that I recently completed.

Enjoy.

Great work as usual!!!

I've been tinkering with the idea of making a functional scale model combine, with a clear plastic side sheet so one can see the interior of the thresher functioning... sort of like a cutaway, but one that would have all the internal parts rotating at the proper (proportional) speeds... the cylinder rotating, straw walkers reciprocating, and cleaning shoe oscillating back and forth, and the augers and elevators turning in time...

It would be a cool project but rather daunting...

Later! OL J R

Those grain bins look good. The interior view is an added bonus.

My word Matt! How do you know so much about so many different machines?
Great job by the way.
