The left side frame mounted items and the front axle were built and installed last night. Fit was good.

Next up are 7 tire and wheel assemblies...

Beginning of the wheels. first step: cutting out the parts. This may take awhile...

After a few days of cutting and diverting my attention to some lesser known sports (in the USA) - read rugby seven...I got some construction done on the tires and wheels.

I got one front wheel done. Fit was not ideal on the rim parts and I had to do some creative parts modification and build sequencing to get an acceptable result.

Hoping the rear wheel assemblies build up smoother...

Looks good to me, Greg. I see only one minor glitch where the outer tread comes together. Put that on the bottom. Otherwise, an excellent wheel.

I took Don's advice: seams on the bottom.

These wheels assembled fine and many of you will probably find them to look good, but I have a marginal happiness with them.

Since the tread pattern and tire side wall info is printed on, I did not paint them as I usually do. So there are some errant white marks and shininess to the tires that otherwise would not be there. I may have to dull coat and dirty up the tires to improve them to my satisfaction. I may also have to add some lug nuts.

Until then....

Could you mask off the lettering? Or drybrush?

I like to use black chalk shavings and a brush to push them into the seams. It looks good and you don't have to sacrifice the lettering.

The white tread markings and lugs should have been a color other than white, otherwise the tires look good
