Answer - Jelcz 325 Tow Truck
Lately I have been working on the theme model's for my local club meetings. Every other month there is a theme. I built the Maksart Toros for August's animal theme and decided to start on something for October's Orange and Black theme.
After reviewing my inventory, I found two orange models and picked the lesser of the two so I have a good chance of meeting my deadline. So without further ado here is the beginning of an orange tow truck. First Issue is there is no legend for determining laminating marks (stars). There are one, two and three stars marked and then there are a few parts with specific mm thicknesses. The written instructions are few and translating some of them does not tell me anything useful. Measuring some of the locating marks has lead me to believe the star markings correspond to: * - Bristol, ** - 0.5 mm and *** - 1 mm. Hope I'm right... Second issue is the paper Answer uses. It has enough of a gloss that it does not take my Aleene's well, so I have to use Crafter's Choice which I find harder to work with. greg

Nice orange truck.
Have you tried lightly sanding the glueing areas to break up the glossy surface and give the two mating surfaces a "tooth" for the glue to grab and soak into?

Hadn't seen that kit. Looks like a copy of a Holmes twin boom wreaker unit, will follow the build with interest.

So, I tried the sanding trick that SCEtoAUX suggested when gluing the flanges on one of the frame rails. For whatever reason, I didn't see much difference. Maybe I didn't sand enough or something.
Anyway, I got the basic frame structure built up. I ended up using a combination of glues: Crafter's Choice, Aleene's and Loctite CA liquid. Now I get to see how well it all stays together... I still have quite a bit of color touch up that I'm not sure would please my Pitt pens. May need to break out the acrylic paints or krylon spray for this part... greg

Your frame work looks solid, straight, square and true. A great beginning to a fine looking model. I look forward to following along here and on FB.

Nice one! I need to look for that model, I need the wrecker end of it.

Thanks all!
So this weekend I was able to work up through the springs and rear axle. Again I have quite a bit of color to add. I used black craft acrylic for the last stage of the build and will most likely continue with its use. No major problems, just still having to take the time to figure out laminating thicknesses for best results. The key I figure out does not appear to be correctly applied to all parts as required, so some guess work remains. greg

The build continues. Yesterday's progress. No fit issues.
