Thanks, Rick. I will add the sun shade tomorrow, but will have to think about whether or not I add the additional wheel parts. I think I'd like to get the little wrecker built and one of the other big trucks started first.

Just a little extra for Don ... The pronounced hub ring on the front wheels is used as a step to get up into the cab.

I have been downloading all of them, but end of term teaching, eye surgery, and prep for Christmas have caused me to fall behind. But I do have the little Mercedes G-Klasse wrecker (model e) under construction and hope to post the finished version soon, although I am still trying to figure out where all the parts go.
I do not have access to Facebook, so if Volker has posted any images of completed models (aside from the side views that appear in streetpaper.de) I would be grateful if someone would post them here. Rick - Thanks for the info on the front hubs. K can see extended hubs in some Actros images. Not sure which of the cylinders (white or gray) go with the front hubs. Don |

VK - Earlier, Laughsplace posted a link to Volker's Facebook page that I can read: https://www.facebook.com/groups/123897100963175/
If you scroll down, you will find an image of the back end of the second model (Actros service truck) and a front view of the G-Klasse that, in combination with the side views, helps a great deal, although it does not show the details of the towing apparatus. I probably won't get it completed until Friday at the earliest (in class all day tomorrow), but if you figure it out before then, tell all and post images, please. Don |

I agree, Laughsplace. You have been very helpful throughout.
Now, any ideas about how the gray boom mechanism goes together? Why there are two identical sets of boom parts? Presumably they attach to the pitchfork (or harrow)-shaped devices by means of the two shackles, but why are there two of the pitchforks. And where do the little orange lights (next to the mirrors) go? Don |
