A swift cache scrub with CCleaner sorted that out. Now I'm getting it on Streetpaper.

Not too sure what it is though ... a Dakar race truck maybe?

it is a vehicle of the organizing body for the Dakar, they use it for time control, route running prior to the race, and to move officials to and from check points or other official duties

I've always wanted to build one of these Dakar racers. If this is the theme this year I'll be a happy camper. I wish there were instructions, though - I'm seeing quite a few parts whose location is a mystery to me. Hopefully I can find an internet image of this vehicle.

Or just ask me Don, I have built many of Volker's kits, especially his Dakar offerings

Thanks, Rick. Here goes: The 4 rectangular pieces with the black "holes". I'm thinking they go under the chin. I believe the 4 thin grey strips with score marks are associated with the aforementioned parts - perhaps a frame? The orange cylinder with cap - a tank, a muffler? Where does it go? In the lower left corner of the page there are some black rectangles and small black circles - a long thin nerf bar with straps, perhaps? Goes on the back somewhere?

I share Don’s confusion, except I think the orange cylinder is the amber roof light. The rest, I don’t know either. Hoping for a picture.

Don, if you are into Dakar stuff, just click through from Streetpaper.de to Racepaper.de. There's quite a few permanently on offer over there. Rally racing is not of particular interest to me so I haven't really poked around much there, but if it's anything like Streetpaper there will be many illustrated but not necessarily downloadable at all times. Volker does seem to enjoy teasing us, or perhaps it's his way of cutting down on server storage.

I'm pretty sure it's never been on general release, but it was given out as a 2015 Xmas present to everyone who donated that year.
