Don and Anne,

it is actually simpler than that.

They are sand ladders and the thin grey strips makes up the roof rack that goes on the cover on the back
There are 4 little squares on the corners of the cover that indicate the location of the roof rack

Rick, Mon ami -

I'm not visualizing how the rack goes together. Like my crude sketch? In which case are the second set of grey strips reinforcements? Or what?

And are the sand ladders stacked on the roof rack side-by-side? Or what?

Don

Mon Colonel,

Your first drawing is correct, that is how the roof rack goes.
Second shorter strip is the under side of the larger strip

As for the sand ladders, just double the parts, usually only a set of 2 are carried.

Rick

Thanks Rick and Don, the info is very helpful. I agree with Anne, the orange cylinder is a light that goes on the roof. That leaves just the parts in the bottom left corner of the page: a nerf bar for the rear?

DW,

I haven't come across a picture showing what you mention, but it is definitely plausible

Advent#3 is up. page 2 of the Arran Distillery.

If you wander around Volker's world a bit it is surprising what you can find ...

I found this among many other distilleries on the PreDes pages.

#1 and #2 are now dead. #4 is now up. More bits of the distillery.

Dunno yet if this is the theme for this year, but if you peek into PreDes there's more than enough to fill out the 24 days.
