Free Model Contest # 5 - Old and Fast - Aston Martin LM by Zio Prudenzio
A litlle time ago, I started a project that I named "Old and Fast", a collection of antique sports cars, between the decades of 30 until 60.
I searched the net, and collected the templates. With the notice of the Contest, I needed chose one them. My choice was the Aston Martin, by Fabrizio Prudenziatti. Although the site of Fabrizio no longer exists, the model can be downloaded via Web Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20150323...o/as-corsa.pdf The difficulty of model are no instructions and a lot of small parts. I looked for pictures of builded model, but I didn't find anything, except the original ones. So, I used them, the pictures of similar model, the alfa romeo, and a work of Darwin - Prudensio Alpha Romeo. I attached here the original pictures and the real thing. |

Let's go!
I used to build two weights of paper: 120 gsm for general construction and 75 gsm for smal parts and coating, printed on Canon C5030. I intend to work in blocks, and, at end, add details. So, first step, print templates, a light coat of glossy sealer, and score everything. The first part was the rear axle. More tomorrow. |

Beautiful model! Your build thread will be very valuable to anyone who would like to build this model, since there are no instructions.

Because the instructions are missing, plan this build taked a lot of time, and, of course, trial and error.
So, progress is slow. Thanks for coments. |
