Both front and rear axles are double thickness card (Two copies sandwiched) so the end tab that goes through the wheel becomes a square section. The wheel is then secured onto the axle stab by a hub washer either side.

The folding and tab locking of the whole model is actually quite ingenious, resulting in a very strong structure that a child could handle without breaking anything.

Beautiful Vardo Johnny, especially so in light of the injuries to your fingers. Nice to see you producing again.

Not my diagrams Don. they came with the kit. I just lifted a bit to show VK how the axles were formed.

No scissors, knives, or glue required on this, but it did still give me a fight.Of course the real test is gonna be if I can build one of VK's vardo designs.

I sorta promised myself I'd make up the Canon Stars 'n' Stripes Eagle as a come back, but it ain't gonna get done for the July 4th, so it just might get shelved for next year now.

That's OK Johnny. Small progress is better than none at all.
