I'm coming into this thread late, having been distracted by our intense summer teaching period, and am glad to see that the operation is over and that you are doing well enough to share your photos of both the scar and the truck.

The truck is looking good and you have my best wishes for complete recovery, Greg!

Your truck is coming along beautifully! There are so many different types of cool trucks throughout automotive history, I'm always happy to see them modeled!

Hope your injury continues to heal well!

Although these pics look sort of the same as the last ones, they are not. Some of the linkages have been installed as have the permanent pins. There are more parts to these than shown in the drawings, so I'm guessing a little bit on the pin retainers and such. At least my previous working life has given me some insite on what needs to go where.

My wife commented she thought it was a little strange for me to be building this seeing on where I worked when my job was eliminated. I just said "this is a Bumar lift and not related to my previous employer."

I'm on the home stretch and should be able to finish this off within the next day or so.

Greg

I have a similar scar. It will take a while to get feeling back in that area. Your truck model in outstanding.

Love the close up shots and the chassis, wonderful job!
That tower section fit looks great! What are you talking about! :D
Can't wait to see this finished.

Well I just finished this one. The pictures show how everything pins together. The upper boom lift cylinder is not tight enough to hold the boom in place, so the fully extended picture has the boom a little off center to keep it up for the photo.

I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to those with a little bit of experience with complex linkages.
