Aerial Truck Project

Here is what I've been working on lately. The cab and frame are identical in construction (if not detail) to the MAN box truck I did a build thread on at the "z". Because of this, I intent to post only the aerial platform part of this build.

Attached are the first photos and a photo of my cool new scar.

Nice build! Any chance that we'll be seeing some up close photos? Otherwise it looks well built and clean from here

I'm guessing you fell asleep next to your X-acto? Either way, looks like that scar is in competition with Getter 1's snowblower wound.

I think I fell asleep at the work bench and dreamed of battling all the bad "zealots" of the world with knife and staple gun.:p

At least they use nice new staple and not old rusty one. I hope that heals well for you. It looks in a serious location.

Here are some photos of the main boom, tower boom and tower lift cylinder. These are not permanently pinned in place at this point. Fit was decent but not perfect. The main boom has a twist to it that I could not get out (really not that much different from the real thing )

My incision is doing well. the staples are out but it's still numb from earlobe to chin. Probably a good thing. I figure in about 5-10 years I'll have a matching scar on the left side.
