Good evening.
Started working on the chassis pan.

The pan itself has to have the top and bottom layers laminated together.
Since I use spray contact cement for larger pieces, the glue tabs for the assembled skid plate to pan cannot be used and will have to be edge glued.
First scored a fold line down the centre between the top and bottom of the pan. Then isolated the pan as a whole from the sheet and glued them together and left in the press. The pan was then cut out after it dried.
The one trick here was to fully cut out the cutout area of the top around the air tunnel before gluing. A lot easier to do it now than latter.
Next started work assembling the skid plate.

The completed skid plate was then glued into position.
When dry the sides of the rear down draft tunnel were installed and then top cover for the tunnel was assembled and installed. The tunnel cover had to be trimmed slightly to fit over the tunnel. Then laminated together.

The air-dam pieces for the pan were laminated over and left to dry.

All those deflector blades had to be cut out, shaped, then installed.
The blades all have orientation marks that do help when installing.

The chassis floor pan is now complete.

Next up it is to start onto the construction of the body.

I'm sure that will have it's own challenges.

Thank you for following.
Comments and questions are always welcome.

That front wing is just insane ! You could have that as a model on its own, going by all the parts involved. You're a brave builder.
