Great work Jim. That is a lot of detailing.

Thanks Gary and Gotham.
Gotham it's not really that bad. You just have to think through about each operation.
Gary this is what you get when computers are designing the cars.

Good day.
Over the weekend, did get a start on the body for this car.

Starting with the air intake and the upper cockpit.
When attaching the fin to the top of the intake, glue the bottom of the fin first ( the area with no tab ) and let dry. Then glue the rest. It makes it a lot easier to align the fin and not fighting a gap at the bottom.

While waiting for the upper intake and cockpit assembly to dry, started work on the upper body panel and shaping it.

When dry the intake assembly was then attached to the upper body.

This is as far as I have gotten this weekend.

Still working on body panels. Hope to have another update for you soon.

Thank you for following.
Questions and comments welcome.

That build is coming along just great. I always wanted to try an F1 model. Thanks for sharing.

Omigawd! The complex wing on your car seems simple compared to the new front wing that was on the McLaren this last weekend.

The problem with these wings are that they are so complex, any damage can make the car very hard to manage.
