New wheels

Just added 3D wheel faces which might improve the model:

Transparencies

Since the Land Rovers have flat windows, I thought it might be possible to do a (semi-) transparency set for them - so I have. It can be printed out onto an OHP sheet and then they can be cut out and mounted behind the appropriate cut-out areas on the body. For anyone who wants fully-transparent windows, just use these as templates to cut out the pieces of clear plastic.

Another idea is to cut out the window openings in the body...

then apply clear plastic, laminate, or cello-tape over these printed window artworks.

Cut them out, and mount them behind the openings in the body.
The gloss gives you the shiny glass window effect,
while the printed gradient gives you a tinted, opaque window (so, no interior is needed!).

Ah - yes, but as I recommend printing the pages onto glossy paper anyway, this approach isn't needed. The use of the transparency sheet is for producing a semi-transparent window effect. In my experience, printing onto OHP makes a much lighter print than onto paper, so you can - just - see through it while retaining a shading effect. Have a go and see what you think.

The ideal way to make these models (transparent windows aside) would be to do 2 prints -
No. 1 onto glossy paper of about 120- 140gsm weight. Use this for the body and other shiny parts (like roof beacons, front grille/lights etc.) ONLY.
No. 2 onto matte paper or card of about 150-200gsm weight. Use this for the chassis, wheel faces and other non-shiny parts.
