Yamaha YA-1

Yamaha has just released a new jubilee model in paper, the model has the scale 1: 4.
This is far too big for me, so I'm going to reduce the model to 1: 9 and then much more realistic.
Note that the whole model is made out of paper.

The cylinder in rough form to see clearly that the paper is.
Here you can also see that the spark plug is not beautiful.

Spark plug made more realistic.
Cylinder and head painted
Carburetor made, hoses and cable are made from sewing thread.

Nicely done Huub. What did you use to fasten the sewing thread to the model?

the yarn is processed in the paper, hole is drilled.
At the carboratuer there is wrapped around the yarn a piece of paper and the yarn is wet with glue so that it is harder

Even in this scale your engine is much better than the one realized for the photos on Yamaha site! Really cool!
Can't wait to see how will you realize the remaining details, as the chain just to say one!

Hi Retunga
I use the special edition version with my adjustments so that the model looks realistic.
I also use for reference photos of the original motorcycle.
