The Flying Merkel 1910 V win

Hello to all
it has been a long time since the last time I built a bike so this time i'm going retro ....
I'm using Alen.G's thred as a guide utilizing Alen's parts for the frame and engine, some of the original parts from the model and some re drawn parts that i did .
i have to say that i was looking to buy this model for a very long time but i couldn't find on ,so the only option to build this model was to go with a scan of the model (which i rarely use).

this is Alen's thred for those who dont know it:

The Flying Merkel, 1910

so here are some pictures :

That is a cool motorcycle!

Must be fun making this model with all the tube and pipe construction

Really love these old motorcycles

Great job! I really love these old motorcycles. My niece and I are working on a 1:1 replica based loosely on a 1911 Indian. I have put all other projects on the back burner for now to work on this bike, it is still in the planning stage but soon we may be able to get out the welder and the tube bender. Here are a couple of rough CAD drawings, they were drawn at 1:1 and lose a lot of detail reduced to this size. Awesome looking model and I will be watching closely.

Great work!
Specially the tubes... Are those your design , Alanīs or the kit parts?
Also, can you share what scale are you working with?

Please keep posting, your kit looks terrific and very clean.

I must say those piping skills look pretty top-class to me. It is lovely to see that old machine going together so well.

Best wishes for the remainder!
Alan

Thank you Alen...

for the compliment ...
the pipes were a bit of a struggle for me ,i could never have done it with your 1/14 scale ,they came out 3.5 mm in diameter at 1/10 ,so i imagine yours came out 2.5 -3 mm which is to small for my fingers
your parts of the frame fit very well together ,and i can't wait to do the cylinders .

will be updating soon
