I've posted this before...just watched it again for the third or fourth time...
there are many videos about the Tumbler, but Jay Leno's Garage featured an excellent look at the car a few years back including a test drive of the last driveable Tumbler in the US (talking about actual screen used vehicles...there are of course, many copies out there) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydtGew7bWuw Also gives you a good look at various exterior details. Your exhaust parts look great! The video gives some info about the "Jet" exhaust too.

A Burnisher’s Heaven...
and a part that I was really looking forward to. This is the jet exhaust housing. It stands in contrast to the rest of the vehicle, with all of its sharp, angled straight lines. Pic 117 is an internal shot showing how this goes together as T’s instructions are a little unclear about what was going on inside this part. As you can see, I cut off the tabs and made j-strips, instead. I found it critical to find and mark each pieces’ center on their back sides, including the j-strips, as indicated in the internal shot. As you also may notice, I haven’t glued the backing panel yet. The jet exhaust in 119 is only dry-placed right now. Quite pleased with the results.
I’ve got all the silver metallic pieces done for this section. I’ll post a pic of these later, along with shots of the completed section, when done. Lastly, thanks again, everyone. Gratitude. -J |

Rear end completed
Pic 120 shows most of the silver components ready for install. 121 shows the first piece installed in the order that made the most sense to me. T has you installing the entire thing in one step, which I wasn’t comfortable with doing. The next part to install was the jet engine housing piece (123), then the U-shaped bar, the main rear springs, their wiring (my mod), the 4 U-bar actuators (all shown in the lower half of 122) and lastly, the rear brake flap support arm (125).
Pic 124 shows what the bottom side of the jet housing looks like. The center section of the rear brake flap support arm is a total redesign/mod of my own. Pic 126 shows T’s original design. The rest of the shots show the completed rear end. -J |

Sergio,
I had a personal health issue arise a short while back that kept me from modeling. In fact, going to a Dr. appt. this am. Interesting timing on your post as I’ve just recently been thinking about finishing this model. When I left off, I was in the process of building the brake flaps (pics to come shortly). Now I’m rethinking this step, setting these aside and proceeding with the wheels & tires before I attach the flaps. -J |

Where I left off last time
Here’s the flaps discussed in my last post. I modded these with a re-size, an added cutout, curved trailing edges and gold accents. -J
