Next is the seat. It has a slight curve at the top to give it depth.

I had already laminated the chassy and put it under my cutting mat to dry flat.
This part was fun to cut, color and shape.

I didn't capture all the stages but here is my progress so far.
I will try to do more during the weekend but my daughter is visiting tomorrow before she moves away so I will be busy.

Happy cutting everyone!

Russell

Nice to see you back in the saddle, so to speak, Russell. You don't appear to have lost a step.

Wow Russell nice to see you here again. And, am I missing some kind of Zio day? People seemed to be building his planes a lot these days.

Thanks Y'all. Great to be back in the saddle, Elliott.
I missed all of you and I miss being here too.
I have been thinking about getting back into this for a while but once I started cutting, there's no stopping me now
I don't know about anything going on for Zio but for some reason he has been on my mind lately. He was a very talented designer and generously shared his love of the craft.

Not necessarily a Zio Day, but it speaks to his legacy. By seeing a recent Zio build, we are reminded of his creations, and think of something we always meant to do, but never got around to doing

Doing some research I found that the wheel base is 144" and the models wb is 1.75"
Can someone tell me the scale?
