Minibox Dakar

Hi all,

A few weeks ago I ordered the latest Dakar releases from WDS Minibox, from my friends at Betexa and Tomas Darebnik.

The new releases are the first 2 proper Minibox models. W01 and W02, the Tatra 815 6x6 driven by Clay Regazzoni, and the Liaz 151.154 driven by Moskal.

I have known about these models for a long time.
I even been able to purchase some of the original prints from old ABC magazine issues. But I forgot to buy a 3rd copy of those kits, so I could build the simple and the complex versions, maybe in my order. I will remember.

The biggest addition to my collection is the Wobora set of models. There are 5 models, simple version of the Czech trucks that competed in the 1988 Dakar.
Over the summer of 1989, these 5 models were handed out at a camp, and from what I have been able to learn about it. If the kids completed all 5 models, you would be awarded a certificate/diploma.

Pictures of the covers and models are attached below

Rick

I enjoy the Minibox models a lot, and these are very nice Rick.

I take it that the two individual models you show are the same models as included in the set of 5?

I prefer the quick build aspect on the ones without actual wheels. Nice relaxing models for a quick afternoon or evening session.
