1/24 Ferrari F93A by GP Team
Hi again!!!
I got this model from GP Team (https://www.facebook.com/GP-Team-Pap...1454976983567/) before the Coronavirus hit my area hard, so I started assembling it about two months ago. They offer this for 5 USD via Paypal. I took a lot of breaks, so it took a while... But now I've finally finished it. The kit has optional parts for Jean Alesi and Gerhard Berger's cars. The kit also has carbon fibre patterns, which I have only seen on Robert Blaschke's designs so far. I've only built a handful of 1/24 racing machinery despite my addiction to motor racing, so this one was hard to tackle. The kit assembly is very different to that of Petr Spinler's designs. The instructions were not very comprehensive, but they do provide a link to some build photos that come in handy sometimes. The steering mechanism took many attempts, in the end I got better results compared to the MP4/4 I did previously. Definitely not a kit for modellers without plenty of Czech F1 model experience... But it is rather interesting to put together.

A real modelbuilder is never completely satisfied with his own results...
But we are! Nice model.

Classic Ferrari and McLaren..very nice.
Nice models...nice cars...nice builds Senna and Alesi...awesome! Speculation is that Ferrari will field a North American Indy car team in a couple of years. I'm not the biggest fan of Ferrari, but that will bring some drama to North American racing! I remember when Toyota first entered Nascar...there were some skeptical people. But at least Toyotas are manufactured in North America.

From 1950 to 1960, the Indianapolis 500 was part of the F1 Calendar, so it would be cool to see Ferrari go ovals with the likes of Honda and Chevrolet powered Dallaras

Can't see Ferrari going to Indy without a rules change, since the Dallara is the spec chassis for the series.

Right. The hybrid changes (including next-gen chassis) scheduled for 2022:
https://www.topgear.com/car-news/mot...p-hybrids-2022 https://racer.com/2019/08/01/hybrid-...ngine-in-2022/ and Ferraris interest is already documented: https://www.thedrive.com/accelerator...s-soon-as-2022 https://www.autosport.com/indycar/ne...-indycar-entry

Ferrari as an engine supplier might make sense AND give them a boost in exposure over there.
