TK Paper Craft 1913 Ford Model T Commercial
Well, I obviously repainted the body, my wife said I had to put my logo on this one and "Home for Fallen Women". This is a companion build for my "Madam Jendifer's" horse drawn wagon.
I have no idea what the scale is, because I didn't see it on the kit, and the instructions are in Japanese (just another language I don't read). Anyhoo, I made a few changes other than the paint, and have a few suggestions. They have you laminate lots of stuff on this kit, which I found problematic in that once laminated it doesn't crease well, either my card stock is to thick (64#) or they wanted it made of paper. Also, there is one part that needs to be redrawn (which I did after trying to use it), that is the panel that goes behind the seat. It needs to be the same size and shape as the back of box (where the doors are) otherwise it is to narrow and would cause the area in front of the seat to be drawn in, so the sides of the box would not be parallel. Changes I made.... Firstly repaint, secondly I glazed all windows with clear film, thirdly I made the sides of the hood out of single layer so I could open up the louvers, and finally I opened the rear doors. Just an aside, the inside of the box is now wood grain texture. The kit is really nice and everything fits quite well (except for the part I mentioned). It is a fun straight forward build. Mike |

Great work on this model. I have this one and hope to build it some day. You model is an inspiration.
I can't find anything on the website or in the instructions that tell us the scale, but based on the size of the model (190mm long) and the 3,404mm length of a standard Model T, it looks like the scale is roughly 1/18. How long is your model, Mike? Don |

The model is (approximately) 194mm front of tire to back of box, the wheel base (center of hubs) is 143mm.
I figured when I built it that is was somewhere between 1/12 and 1/24, lol. |

You you did a great job on both, the build and the repaint. It's an outstanding model.

Very fine model.
This model has solid wheels-do you know if Ford T used those wheels at any other time? All pictures I have seen have spoked wheels, either wooden or steel . |

Nice build, great detail. The detailed engine ads a lot to it, too. Do those wheels roll?

The wheels can roll, I chose to glue them to a base.
