Last pictorial post today. This shows the driveshafts (cardans) built and installed and the finished tractor unit.
The driveshafts were too long and had to be cut down for proper installation. Also I wrapped the central tube around plastic rod stock for more solid support. greg

Parts 76, 77 are the articulating linkage between the tractor and the scraper unit. Yes fit was a bit fiddly but worked out in the end.
I'm replacing most of the paper pins with plastic rod or at least putting in some rod as a core for better strength. 78- 80 are the "goose neck" assembly. The large round tube is a double ply of tubes. Also, getting the two arms to build up and install on the tube really requires a third or fourth hand, which I am not equipped with. I'm still not sure how I successfully lined them up. greg

The main bin, front clamshell and rear bin wall assemblies.
Assembly was mostly straightforward. Getting square tube pieces square was a little bit of a challenge. Cylinder rods have had rod stock inserted for strength. Pins have been replaced with rod stock as well and a few cylinder bushings have been reworked with rod stock cores too. Rear wall will attach to the rear framework so it is not yet installed on the vehicle. greg

The rear framework, rear wall cylinders and rear axle/hub assemblies finish off the components of this build. Rear tires were assembled previously, so they only needed to be added to the hubs to finish.
Rear framework was bunches of square tubes. The sequence of assembly is best figured out by the builder and not dictated by part number. Cylinders assembled like all the others. Cylinder rod was replaced with plastic rod coated with silver sharpie. Rear axle was fashioned from plastic rod stock painted black. Hub assembly was relatively straightforward. Once again, there were not enough hex heads provided for detail so I used some leftovers from a previous project to address this deficiency. So this project is now complete. Overall impression is that this is a well designed, highly detailed model with few major issues. I would definitely slot this between a Halinski level and Angraf level kit, meaning it's somewhere in the middle, quality wise, for fit vs detail. I highly recommend it to those interested in construction equipment who are looking to advance their skills without getting mired into something too challenging. Greg
