Mercedes SSK

I've made one of their cars before and liked it. So I decided to have a go at another one.

I must admit that I wasn't so impressed with this kit. I checked it against some pictures of the real thing and felt that it didn't really "work".

TKpapercraft's web site has the Merc at the bottom of the list which made me think this would have been their first design. The quality of the parts and instructions reinforced my thoughts.

Anyway in the most part it was enjoyable to make and goes well with all the other cars. I made the base to look a little like the first enclosed "banked" race track in the world - Brooklands in the UK.

It's still a great looking model.

Wonderful! Great looking model. The display base is a great addition, and really shows the model off well.

Please help me, I haven't been able to translate into English the TKpapercraft web page. How can I translate it because the automatic translator won't do the job. Thanks
Peter

That's a real great base Mike! Well thought out!

As an aside I actually think that the Mercedes is his latest model. The 4 models above are in order of release with newest being just above the Mercedes. The Mercedes only appeared a couple of months back.

Thanks for your comments - Perhaps I shouldn't be so critical next time ;-)

Thanks for your thoughts Kevin - I'll bear them in mind if I decide to buy another kit - especially when there's a good discount on the price.
