My First Paper Model.

Hi, In response to Greg (modelperry) I took some photos following his message and have included them below. The model being the Canon MG Midget. I am now a little further on and attempting the wheels. Finding a suitable circular cutter for the small wheels has presented a problem and I am still looking for a sollution although I have solved the scoring of the outer tyre face by using a small compass fitted with a draughtsman's indian ink pen closed right up so that it behaves like a scoring knib. Just have to watch it does not damage the surface too much. Anyway enough from me. Here are the pictures, I must get on with those tyres.

By for now.

Alan

Alan you are doing a fine job... you say this is your first paper model all i can say is that you've got to grips with it really well already . I like your idea for the circular scoring. Look forward to the next stage. All the best. Pete.

Alan,
You're off to a brilliant start! Hopefully you'll stick to automobiles so that us aircraft nuts won't need to look over our shoulders! I'm only kidding
Welcome to the forums. I really hope to see some more and look forward to following your next projects

Ron

That is very nice. I find a small circle cutter at Michael's that work fine for circles over 1cm or so. I have seen also the same cutter in different brand packages mostly. It work like a compass.

Those Canon models they are more complicated than one might imagine!

Very good start, waiting to see more. Each model leads to the next and more experience learned with everyone.
