Murph's Models, Grumman LLV, 1/27, beta build

Murph's latest vehicle model, Grumman LLV in US Post livery, about 1/27, as is in the kit.
In beta building this model, hot laminate on normal A4 printing paper is used, giving the model a glossy surface that is also water resistant. The con side is that the laminated surface cannot be glued with each other. The trick is that you scrape off the top layer of laminate thus exposing the paper layer that can be glued. PVA glue and CA glue (for edge gluing and strengthening) are used, just in case you're curious.

The next will be LLV Canada Post.

This is why I don't do math. I was shooting for 1/32 scale to go with the other vehicles.

I have rechecked the built model which is about 14.2 cm long against the actual length of the real thing, 4460 cm.
The outcome is about 1/32, meaning that you have done your math right and I made a mistake.
Sorry about the false alarm.

Grumman LLV - Canada Post, Scale 1/32

LLV - Canada Post, scale 1/32, is now presented.
Both US and Canada Post are free to roll, as toy cars.
It's fun to give them away to kids if you don't want to keep 'em at home to collect dust.
Sure they can last for a couple of days if not hours.
Mine certainly will as the laminated surface can withstand scratch, water spray but not force or crash against each other.

Murph’s Grumman LLV US Postal Service

A lovely gift for our mail lady.

When a large envelope arrives, rather than stuffing it in our street mail box,
she will walk it up the drive way to our front door.

Printed on letter size 110lb cardstock.

Base reinforced with Cheerios box cardboard.

Model Size:
Length 5 1/2 inches
Width 3 inches
High 2 3/4 inches

Howdy,

Thank you for making this happiness possible!

It has been a few weeks waiting to give Murph's Grumman vehicle to
our mail lady; she just returned from sick leave.
