1969 Dodge Charger
This model is based on photos ot the actual car and then resized and pasted to fit over the 1969 Dukes of Hazard paper model thats been around for awhile. Lots of guess work. I got fairly close but it is off where the rear roof tapers onto the body of the car. It was an experiment for me and only intended to be a one-of, so I didn't bother to make too many corrections to it.
The attached pictures show the car I was attempting to model. I used these photos for the actual model. |

Pretty car. Have you considered shooting it with some spray gloss?

I am contemplating it. I don't want it to get warped though.

If you give it a couple of light coats of spray lacquer before a finish coat of gloss varnish, you'll cut down on the warping. Just make sure the lacquer is thoroughly dry, and lightly rubbed before adding the varnish. I've been using this method on paper aircraft for several years, and have had no problems.

I think you have the beginnings of an awesome model that many people would like. I like it the way it is. If you did an interior go to with it, you'd have a hit!

I've always been a big fan of the chargers, congratulations, you just built the nicest one I've seen to date. You've inspired me to try a black one with a big fat supercharger sticking out of the hood... one day.
