Do you want fries with your Dakar?

Hi all,

I would like to present my latest Dakar model.
The #400 from this year's Dakar, held in Argentina and Chile.

The model comes to us courtesy of Volker and racepaper.de - germany - bremen -- Predes (C)2000-2005

The model represents a Toyota pickup truck, with some major modifications.
The box on the back holds two deep fryers, for the sole purpose of cooking french fries.

This team is using the used frying oil for their fuel, a bio diesel entry.

Dakar 2009
Ch'ti Friterie... Dans la course pour le Dakar 2009 - La Frite c'est la fête !

I wanted to build this car because it is typical of Dakar entries, some are just too wierd to explain.

Hope you enjoy the pictures and links.

Rick

I was hoping they didn't have to stop for anyone holding up a bag of OrIda's:p

Did they bring the oil with them or do they have to get that locally too?

I do believe that they had the oil with them, in the service truck
