Of course not we were just side tracked by other erm things
John broke down on live TV when he had to announce the death of Shep and used some very un Blue Peter language when he said how he was told he couldn't keep Shep after he left the show.
Who could forget his Bob Sleigh Accident, showing the massive bruise on live children's television then having to explain why he was wearing his wifes knickers!.They were silk and didn't irritate the bruise.

Good TV got bad, when sky come online. Most things have gone downhill since then. Although sky still has some good programs, although not british.

I remember this as if it were yesterday.. the papers said that he was going over the top about Shep, they said {quote} " It was only a dog " yet another of those magic moments from the press {idiots} there's NO such thing as ONLY a DOG or any other animal you care for as your pet. John was one of THE best presenters on the show, and had a heart of gold ! I know how gutted i would be if i lost my dog, and the tears i have cried for all my pets now departed would fill a swimming pool... some say i am far too soft - well, if loving animals is classed as this, then i must be.
