Well today proved one thing ... for all their loud voices, and the obvious encouragement of the media, methinks the Anti-Maggie brigades were just slightly outnumbered today. Like around 120,000 to 1.

Having the decency not to protest a funeral (even of one so reviled) does not make the left's argument weaker, indeed logically it should morally strengthen it.

Her legacy is certainly all around us. The closure of British industry. Privatised utilities that don't invest but just raise prices and syphon off tens of billions in undeserved profits. A property bubble based on flooding the market with social stock. A the post" Big Bang" investor bubble. Three great recessions since she came to power, and currently in a triple-dip (at least) depression with no end in sight.

Thatcher killed Britain. It's just a shame she didn't have the later-years cognitive capacity to see what harm and havock she poured upon the nation.

Of course, absolutely none of that was caused by the Blair, Brown period was it? It wasn't their fault at all. They just stood back and let it all happen.
