Your like the baddie in a James bond movie when you show someone one of your models and they go thats nice how you make that and you go well mr Bond this is how we do them and show a printed kit and they go thats cool mr baddie in bond movie stroking your white persian kat on your lap is there anywhere i can get my son to do easy models or free ones so you give the name of sites and then you go Mr bond i don't expect you to make a model like Doris's Hms Victory but it be nice to try I know i have fun doing my efforts as much as she or anyone else does.

If you can't find plastic model of your wanted plane, you always turns to paper model.
That's how it's work for me. ^ ^

Did it work? you could save me some time.....

Used steam and then tried to press cardstock around a mandrel... (big time wrinkles with warping too.)

all jokes aside... make a 'female' mold and then press wet paper into it. How much paper and in what form, i.e. 1/4 inch wide copier paper or newspaper, is a matter of trial and error. Do research on the web for paper mache techniques and for things to put on the paper strips, like Elmer's glue or flour, to hold the paper together [I use Elmer's]. The mold could be plaster of paris and plunging in a carved wood canopy plug on a stick to make the depression in it. Plan on issues with the water in the paper degrading the plaster as the paper dries. Not a big deal, as you expect to use it once, and the plaster of paris absorbs some of the water. Alternative material is Sculpy, which won't care if the paper is wet. When done, your part- nose cone, canopy, prop spinner, etc., is paper and not an alien material like wood or plastic [horrors]. Of course, you will need to paint it. Hope this helps a little.

Yeah, I was joking about using a vacu-form, which only works with plastic
