Your daughter comes home with a homework assignment that requires parental assistance. She's required to make a Humpty Dumpty scene using paper cuttings.
You smile an evil grin. Paper eh? Cutting eh?
You then whip out metaseq and pepakura to make a quick design of an egg with appendages.
The following day, your daughter comes to preschool bearing an awesome 3d Humpty Dumpty scene.

on the vacuuforming of paper topic a few pages up...

fast way around using plaster, make the mold shape in plasticine and cover the surface in thin saran wrap... then apply layers of thin paper. The thinner the paper, the less wrinkles you will get.

.........you spend half your time down on the floor looking for teensy tiny parts that pop out of your clumsey fingers.

You put glass over your monitor, so you just lay the monitor down. And draw the models and paint it yourself to save ink for the better models

If you worked non-stop for 8 hours a day it would take at least 3 years to build your stach of unbuilt models.
