The bank robber

A man armed with a gun robs a bank. As he turns to leave, he sees a couple next to him.
“Did you see me rob this bank”, he asks them. They nod their heads so he shot them.
As he nears the door, he spots another couple and asks them the same question.
The husbands says “no, but my wife did!”
