This model is stuck on my old computer and is basically lost. I am unsure if I should just swallow that pill and start over of put this on hold until or if I am able to get it off my dead lap top. Shame too, it was ready for Gimp and the test building.

You may be able to salvage the hard drive. My drive died last week and I removed the hard drive. I borrowed a drive connector from my neighbor and hooked it up to the drive and to my external backup. It took a number of attempts to start up the drive, by repeatedly plugging the usb cord in and out, banging on the drive, and tilting it in all directions. It finally started up while upside down and I was able to export my data. It may work for you as well.

Ct,

It's like RMKS mentioned (Sorry guys, I don't know first names). A 2.5" external usb hard drive enclosure is what you are looking for. Chances are if it's more than 3 years old it will be like this unit (IDE). It's a simple process and if it turns out it was your hard drive that died, not an expensive one
Buy the Sabrent 2.5 USB 2.0 Enclosure at TigerDirect.ca

OK, the boy's asked their dad (Tera's ex-husband) for help. He cleaned up that older lap top, and sucked all of my files off of it for me. I gave the lap top to one of the boys, but I have my files! this model is back in play!

Corey, glad to know that there is still life in this one. It has such a unique look, it would be a shame not to have the full Corey treatment.

Corey, I am basically project free right now. If you want a beta build, I'll do it for you. I love my Fredricksburg!

Hello! Any updates on the build Charles? Or did I mess something up? The test builds always stress me out. I hate it when I make a model a mess. Jeff knows what I am talking about when he tried my 1/72 scale Norris Gunboat! Nothing fit!

OK, I got a guy working on a full hull version and another guy working on the waterline model. Soon we will know if the parts go together. I am still working on the directions, a labor intensive project in it's own right, so I am dragging my feet. I need to stop that.

Cheers!
