One more, the lancia 1Zm Armored car

OK, one more. Here is the Lancia 1zm armored car. I may also make the 1z as well, an earlier model with a second mini-turret on top the main. Anyhow, I have the running gear left to go. This seemed to be a good reliable car for the period, and the Germans used at least one in Africa during WW1. several were used by the Italians in WW2. The car was also used in many operations in the inter war years.

This model was used also by the CVT (italian volunteer trops) with the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War.

Excellent choice! Really excellent! I've wanted to see a model of this one for a while now. So glad to see you're doing it, Corey. This looks great already. Can't wait to see this one progress.

Almost ready for flattening. I need a few more details and the wire rails and cutters.

Nice! Wish there were more of these early/preWWII armored cars around!

Charles - I, too, am always glad to see more miltiary vehicles of the inter-war period arrive on the scene. For now, however, there are enough 1919-1940 armored cars to keep you busy for a while, at least in the smaller scales, due to the efforts of Roman Vasyliev, Alberto Perilli (Perry), Corey, and others. Chris Gutzmer has made several of these available via ECardmodels and some of Perry's work is available here as free downloads. Chris Walas, the inveterate builder of anything armored that ever trod the Western Desert, Charlie C (Font of All Truth and Wisdom on armor), Jim Nunn, B-Manic, Karl Warner, and the other armor builders can surely add to this list. Perhaps we can compile a list of resources. Apologies for not adding websites to this posting, but I am on my way out the door. I will do so later if the others don't beat me to it.

Don

Terrific, CT! Another must have. Thank you for all the design time you are spending, adding fuel to armored car mania.
