CSS Gaines, 1/250 scale

Here is my start on the CSS Gaines. It had six guns, five smooth bores and an eight inch rifle. This was a purpose built ship and would fight at the battle of Mobile Bay in 1864. I have had it on my files for some time half finished. Now it is 3/4 finished. It's sister ship CSS Morgan with 10 guns is following close behind. These were partially armored against small arms, having thin iron plate under the decking and possibly around the "citadel" surrounding the engine/boilers.Big thanks to "Rebelatsea" for helping me out with some drawings.

Whoops, forgot the pictures. The masts have an upper section with booms that need to be added along with the paddle wheels!
