OK. A slight change. This boat model is going to be a model based on how the Union Spy may have seen it, as John has found new info and the real ship may have been closer to a typical side wheel ironclad with slanted sides as well ass bow and aft casemate walls.... Basicly, I already have this one about done!

Great work.

Your CSS Neuse kit was used by some troubled youth for an academic fair and then was picked up by the Neuse museum.

Your kit really inspired these young minds.

Thanks~

OK, the draft is done, waiting on test builds and then a quick cover page and it will be ready. This is a waterline model, 1/250 scale, as the USN navy was expecting the Montgomery in late 1864. Again, this is modeled though the views of spies, and the original ship probably had sloping armor all around much like the Nashville.

Will you be doing a build thread on the Montgomery Corey?

Actually,
shawndymond will be doing a test build over the Easter week end. If all goes well, I hope that he does do a build thread. My fingers are too clumbsy for good builds, although I do build from time to time. But I like to have those who can really build do a run for pictures and to spot mistakes.
shawndymond has done many of my models in the past with fantastic results. I will drop him an email and hint around about a build thread. It's a good idea.
