Talking Colossus!

Hi,

84' this thing was HUGE! I thought it was about 40'! Thanks!

Hey, I was looking for some more giant ironclads, but haven't found any bigger than the one you mentioned. I found the USS Dunderburg in an old book "Ironclads of the Civil War", the original book it was 373...377 depending on the information out there. But I don't consider it "really" to be an "ironclad".....because it has sails, but it is clad in iron.....but still really cool!

I downloaded the model of the 1861 Norris Gunboat and the original picture.....that canon is funny looking, but I have seen alot like that in drawings, it seems like a style of depiction, but I haven't seen any like that in real life. If the ship was 84' then that gun would have beeeeeen HUGE! I love the 3 wheel carriage, interesting and neat!
