MMC Beam Engine

Ok this is the model I will make now. The Micromodels Beam Engine. It is an industrial machinery from the 19th Century.

I will adjust the color some what. When you buy the CD of vintage Micromodels the quality is fair some time. Often I have to print the card twice for two or three color. I can adjust the green some and print it, then adjust the grey iron color and print again. This model it is largely three color - green paint, iron grey and red brick. There is just sold golden brass on a few small items.

Thank you! I will not really add any thing extra. Although on the inside wrap instruction it does show some minor parts to make from straw bristle or wire that is not on the kit part cards. So I will add those. And it say some of the railing which are printed paper can be made from hammered flat wire.

I love your choice of models. You must have one heck of an interesting shelf with all these models on them. Cheers!

This is the experiment. I have some doubt that the two hand drawn wheel parts will line up... so maybe I glue one print part to one solid green disc? Then when I cut it out together, I know the holes they will line up. The black line on the wheel are just for some wood brace parts to make from match sticks any way and are not required really.

What I usually do in these cases is
  • pick out the best drawn piece
  • scan it
  • create a mirror image of the part (flip horizontal)
  • print
then I know I have two parts that will match up.

or you just glue the proper piece to the backing, and then cut all of it at the same time
