Every part fitted perfectly, and it took about three hours all up. The only addition were small circles of card on the joints of the arms. A very enjoyable build. Thanks Plumdragon.
This morning my ten year old daughter picked it up and said it looked like a dragons head. My wife said cockroach. I was thinking shinny beetle.

PS, I was taking the pictures on the kitchen floor. My wife came along and suggested I put it in the bubbles in the sink that just happened to be there. i think it looks pretty appropriate.
The paint scheme looks quite interesting!!!
I like how the windows turned out.

Thanks for the kind words Rhaven Blaack.
I just noticed I put the antenna arms on backwards. Oh well. Here is a little photoshop picture I did.

Hello Friends :-) I'm really pleased that you're taking such an interest in this! Now, to reply specifically....
cjwalas, you can modify the model any way you like, anything that helps you realise your vision of what you think the thing should look like is perfectly fine by me, so modify away!
Mr Pilsworth, that looks splendid! Looking forward to seeing what you make of the hull - it's going to be interesting :-)
Hikokibert, that is amazing! A really neat build; I never would've though of printing it on metallized card, that really does make a difference to the look of the thing; and I love the bubbles! Like it's hovering over some strange alien sea.... A dragons head? Wonderful :-)
Thank you all, and looking forward to seeing what you come up with next :-)

My effort:

Plumdragons Little Ship - it's Competition Time-100_1634.jpg

The model builds up really nicely. The only extras I've added are on the arms and a bit where they fold into.

Was trying to achieve a sort of weathered bronze.

Hello Tim :-) I like what you've done with the arms there, that adds an extra dimension to the look; bronze is unusual, I'll admit, and I like the weather beaten look on the engine pods, that's very effective! Looks like it's been 'round the block' a few times.... Great job, and thank you :-)

Hikokibert, sorry I didn't pick up on it earlier, but that's a really great piece of Photoshop work there :-) And to tell the truth, the arm things work either way round; it's not like it's the Enterprise or anything, where folk can say "that bit's on back-to-front!" :-) Super job, and thank you for taking the time to do it!
