That's a really nice looking model VK, and a nice, clear, sharp pic too. Wish we had more like that. Thanks for sharing the pic. Best of luck in the contest!

I rescaled and did this model for the contest with absolutely no hope of winning. (You should see some of the other entries in the kitbash category). But when I first saw this model years ago, I always thought that for a vintage model, with a little care, it could come out as a very nice model. Then when the contest was announced, there were no entries in the category for over a week, so I decided to 'prime the pump' by doing this.

I don't see how Patricia and others have the patience for cleaning up these older models. This took a lot of time to just get it cleaned up even before I started getting things scaled and duplicated for my build.

I've seen this model posted a couple times on different blogs, but never saw it built, so what the heck. My prize on the back end of this will be a very nice vintage carriage house of my own construction

Thank you so much for entering this. I've been enjoying different styles and ages of papercraft buildings, and having a vintage model like this entered certainly shows off the diversity of our hobby.

One week left to enter! We're seeing new entrants this year, so it's shaping up to be a great showcase for our passion...

I just posted my kitbash entry: "Miracle at Igreja com Cuzerio"

Here's a sample photo:

Absolutely fantastic build, sir. You definitely have a knack for going over and beyond.

I hit another snag on mine. The carriage for the carriage house is less than perfect in its design...

I'm eagerly looking for your submission of this classic model. They really appeal to me, personally.

Since building the Parc Guell, I have come to truly appreciate how precise and accurate modern papercraft designers are with their kits. Or, in short: I feel you pain - so many adjustments and corrections... Makes you wonder if/how anyone ever built them in the first place.

It would slap together okay, but to make it worthwhile, is taking some effort. The sides don't even mirror each other...

After dismembering it last night to see if I could put it back together as more of a model than a toy, I gave up on that avenue, but it was too late to go into Gimp at that time

But how can I have a display of a carriage house without a carriage? I'll basically re-design it tonight. Razzum Frazzum Rum Rip!

The Admin's can delete that last phrase if it is out of place

You have until 6AM Anchorage time. So you still have time (just not much time)
