A lot of images in this thread!

The image from post #84. (The site won't let me post a link to this photo. )

Also, my brothers and sisters are wondering where you found this photo? We think it is awesome to see my dad like this!

You'll like this one then, too!

54-1629 "The Arbitrator"
Major Operations: Vietnam, Laos

Battle damaged over Laos on 24 May 1969, Most of crew bailed out but IO was injured so Pilot elected to land.
Aircraft crashed and burned on landing at Ubon RTAFB.
The Flight Engineer and Illuminator Operator were killed in crash.
SSgt. C. F. Taylor
SSgt. J. W. Troglen

I search far and wide on the web for reference images.
I get pretty imaginative with search terms when the basics don't reveal enough.
C-130, AC-130, Spectre, Gunship, Viet Nam, Arbitrator, 54-1629, First Lady

Unfortunately, often, I forget where I find things...but the photo you quoted is linked from Spectre-Association.

You can find a lot material about AC-130 at Spectre-Association.
Plenty of old Viet Nam era photos there.
As well as ship and crew info.
Maybe you should look there for more. Spectre-Association: Home of the AC-130 Spectre Gunships
Warning, its a bit hard to navigate...the website itself wasn't built well in my opinion,
and you have to dig in other places to find related stuff.

It might be a little late to throw my hat into the ring Dave. But has you considered the possibility of an E model version with Fulton recovery. These were quite common when I was stationed at Hurlburt Field during the 70's with the first SOW.

Yes, I do love that photo as well! I remember my father showing me these photos when I was many years younger. In fact, I think we all gathered around one night and he did a slide show presentation of it. I am very proud of my dad and the service he did for the country! He served for 20+ years in the full time Army and Air Force.

I think I remember that site, but I will look again at it. Again, Thank you for posting these pics! It really warms my heart!

I have always been a huge fan of the C-130 as well. I have been looking for the model kit, but I know that my dad bought one a long time ago where it had the exact same markings on it for The Arbitrator. Best looking aircraft in my opinion!

Sir, do you offer any Indian Air Force C-130s? I'd love to purchase and build one!
If not, i'd be more than happy to offer to repaint the aircraft in IAF colors...

Sorry, I do not offer an Indian AF version.

IAF Hercs are all C-130J model (Super Hercs) with the lengthened fuselage.
I don't offer this version.

You are welcome to repaint a C130 model to IAF livery for your own personal build.
Do not redistribute it.
