Thanks v16guy.....I use Foxit reader, it will let you print at any % you need. For 1/33 to 1/24 its 137.5%. I also use the paper scale calculator found at Paper models scale calculator | Bestpapermodels.com just put in what scale you have and what scale you want and it will even tell you what paper size you need. Foxit reader allows you to use preset sizes or put in any size you want. When you bring up the print box highlight the % put in what you want, hit enter and lock it in and it prints. Find it at Free PDF Reader | PDF Viewer Download | Foxit Reader and it's free. You also need a wide format printer, I have a Epson Workforce 1100 that will print up to 13" wide, I use poster paper that I cut to 13"X22". Don't think they still make this printer but most company's make wide format ones....Rich

Thanks for the info, I did have a Epson R1900 that went belly up (13" wide.) but now I have to rearange the parts to fit 8.5" wide paper, I thought you might be able to give a few pointers on that method.
Thanks for what you have told me thus far, it was still a help. Cheers, John. |

well, I guess I posted this on my Forum...but not over here.
I was wondering why nobody replied over here! lol Howz this then? Just about ready...Big Beautiful Doll. I decided to go with an earlier look...an earlier paintscheme. Not the one everybody is used to seeing. And I also decided to do a pre-D-Day version, without the Invasion stripes. To be honest, I'm tired of seeing them on every scale model! lol And its a loss less work trying to line up graphics on the model. Anyway...I am just wrapping up the last few details and getting the kit ready.

Hey Dave after my success with blowing up the Will Aldrich Super corsair i decided to enlarge your P-51 Mustang kits i have. Now i DIDNT do any thing fancy to make them bigger. i juts told the UPS store where i get my kits printed to size all pages to 11x17 vs 8.5x11. the first pic is with it sitting next to my normal size 1/33 scale Tuskegee Mustang Bunnie. the second photo i raised it up so you can see how much bigger its going to be by lining up where former 18 is and starting back. Im going to pring the page with the updated spinner soon as well as the back pad the belts and a pilot figure. hope you like.

very cool indeed!
how come nobody told me about the graphics problem on the front of Bunnie? hunh? hunh? I see the lower intake part, that fits under the nose, does not have the proper artwork...doesn't connect properly. Obviously I missed something there. I will have to go in and fix the file and update the model. Can you post...or send me...a close up of that nose part, so I can see just how it fits and what adjustment needs to be made. (Although I think its fairly obvious) ............ [a few minutes later...] never mind Shane. I took a look, and the error is fairly straightforward to understand and fix. In fact, I will have a replacement file ready and uploaded in a few more minutes!

In amongst other projects, I keep working on new Mustangs...
I still have a few in my to-do list. And heres a couple I have already finished and are ready for release. I just decided to wait until I had seen some test builds. A couple of people have agreed to build the kits for me and they are currently working on them. Once I see that there are no serious issues, I'll post them to the store. I got a suggestion last year, to do a Mustang as used by the Chinese Air Force. Apparently there are a couple of Mustangs sitting in Chinese Museums. And after some research, I found that surplus Mustangs were used by the Nationalist Forces in their fight against Communist forces after WW2. Looks like PLAF didn't really have an Air Force but they acquired what was left of the CNAF when Nationalists gave up and left the country in the late 40s. But without trained Pilots or any spare parts, the planes were not much more than trophies. I decided to offer up both versions of a Chinese P51 ...an original CNAF paint scheme based on an actual combat fighter, and then the PLAF captured and repainted version similar to what sits in the Beijing Museum today. This next Mustang is one suggested by my pal Ray, back when I was looking for Air Racer ideas. It made me chuckle at the time...."oh, you're serious?"...because not only did I not like the paint scheme, but I knew it would be a nightmare to recreate. Okay, so the paint scheme is actually a tribute to a lot of fighters, squadrons and WW2 heroes but I was right about it being a paper model nightmare! lol It was a long and frustrating job, getting all the artwork in place. Almost as bad....no wait, it was worse....than doing a camo! Anyway, as soon as we are sure it all goes together okay, I'll add this one to the store aswell.
