So...I will be wrapping up the Fundraiser in a week or so
and removing the special offers on the Air Racers.

Don't panic...if you want to pick up the Air Racer Texans at a later date,
you will be able to get the Air Racer Six Pack of Texan kits
at my "exclusives" webstore.
Here: Paper Model Shop Digital Scale Paper Models
Its a bit more than the deal you are getting with the Fundraiser,
but I think its still a very good price.
(Grab 'em now if you want the best deal)
...
In time with the upcoming IPMC event at the end of October,
I plan to release the newly completed Centurion Tank kit.

But, in the meantime, for you Texan/Harvard fans...
how about this?

I am just getting ready to release this RCAF Harvard.
This Harvard still flies, and is part of the demonstration team, and Museum collection at the Warplane Heritage Museum (Hamilton Ontario).
Thats the same place that flies the VR-A Lancaster.

This was an unfinished model from the time of my early collaboration with Ken Uhrig.
I recently found some files to help him update his Harvard kits
and decided to go back and complete this model.
It has, of course been redesigned using my latest Texan/Harvard template.

Interesting difference about the Canadian built Harvards is the equipping of a cabin heating system.
Harvards are fitted with a different exhaust pipe than the Texan
...the longer side pipe encases a smaller inner pipe/tube that feeds outisde air into the cabin at speed.
As the air passes through the small tube, it is heated inside the exhaust pipe.

Is the small tube at the front of the exhaust to bring air into the cockpit?

correct....the tube runs inside the larger exhaust pipe
and exits at the rear bend and then enters the cockpit.

its just outside air forced through the tube while in flight.
and the pilot has a control vent inside the cockpit.

Actually it is a cabin air heater. Acts like a heat exchanger.

Only problem ( an you can see from this photo ) is that the air vent tube inside the exhaust looks beat up and probably has cracks which allow noxious fumes into the cockpit.

I hope that they checked it every so often
