You know what? this kit would be super easy if it wasn't for two pesky parts.
We all know how troublesome Wing Root Fairings can be...well this model has a single wrap around fairing that despite my rework still fights you during install! And then theres the front wheel well housings. They are sort of a petal assembly with curvy shape and dome-like construction...plus it has to match and fit to the curved wing shape...plus you have to pat your head and rub your tummy... and then you still need to trim to fit. haha its not quite that bad, but its also a far cry from a FG kit. I want to get it done this week...and someone has offered to do it. So I am just preparing the test kit right now. gotta go

Hi Dave the problem is time, In a continuous but slow builder. I print Mantel P-51 in 1/100 scale and started the build in the next days. I not candidated me because at the moment I not have space for 1/33 models, I have dozens of magazines but... If I build in 1/33 my wife spank me

I think I should have some pics of a built Texan real soon, so not to worry!
... and, as long as everything goes okay, the next Texan version has already been decided. A little different to what I had originally planned, but an interesting design.

CAPTAIN...THERE BE TEXANS HERE!
oh wait...thats The Alamo...wrong movie, sorry. My first Texan kit has been shipped off to the store! Should be available later this week(?) although it is posted at the PaperModelShop First model is X-151 USAAF (1943) Watch for the actual Kit Release Announcement... and I will follow that with the second Texan (that I have already finished!) Big thanks to Mark for helping with a test build of the first kit (shown above). Turns out his Dad used to own a Texan back in the early 60s. And I thought it would make an excellent choice for a civilian version of the Texan and my second kit! So, here she is as I said, N7095C is already done (I have shipped a copy to Mark) and I am currently working on the third Texan kit (in between Mustang work). For this one, I went back to an earlier idea ...but it seems that this aircraft never existed within the RCAF. The Canadian aerobatic team "The Goldilocks" did a parody of the RCAF Golden Hawks using their yellow Harvard Trainers. I may be wrong on this, but the only Golden Hawk T6 version is apparently created by ex RCAF pilot Bud Granley (Wisconsin) who flies various aerobatic shows and displays in Canada and the US. Anyway, I am inspired by his version of the Texan...

For the Navy impaired...(hi Don!)
BC-1/RAF Harvard I = Navy SNJ-1 and SNJ-2 (different engine) AT-6/RAF Harvard II = no Navy equivalent AT-6A = Navy SNJ-3 AT-6B/AT-16 (Canadian built)/RAF and RCAF Harvard IIB = no Navy equivalent AT-6C/RAF Harvard IIA = Navy SNJ-4 AT-6D and AT-6G/RAF Harvard III = SNJ-5 AT-6F = SNJ-6 Canadian-built Harvard 4 went to RCAF, USAF and W Germany. Let's see...If you did a model of every possible AT-? with every country using it I'll bet that would be a goodly amount of work. You should be able to knock them out by the end of the month...LOL
