Let's see...If you did a model of every possible AT-? with every country using it I'll bet that would be a goodly amount of work. You should be able to knock them out by the end of the month...LOL
Havard I/BC-1 have a different rudder and part of fuselage is cover, no metallic.

For my Texan, I basically started out with Ken Uhrig's old Harvard Mk.IV model

(once again, all the background info is here on my forum:
Uhrig's Harvard and Dave's Harvard redesign)

so, not being an expert on these planes or their differences
I didn't really want to get into the variants or earlier designs.

The main visible difference for the inexperienced is the rudder/tail shape.
There are also some variations on Canopy design.
And it looks like only the Canadian Harvards had the extended exhaust (cockpit heat).
Other than that, I am ignoring anything else and avoiding any major variants.

And because of the situation (or lack thereof) with Ken Uhrig,
I don't want to start pumping out Harvard models.
Out of respect for a fellow designer, I will stick to the Texan brand for now.

okay, after some photo hunting, I must admit that an SNJ version interests me
because they seem to be the most colourful versions !

I have found a number of cool mutlicoloured paint schemes that I like
as well as other Navy versions.

Is there a particular Navy version that is of interest, or does it matter?

Turns out N7095C (previously posted -about to be released) is currently painted as a Navy version (see here)

Going through airliners.net, I found many paint schemes I like...

Photos: North American T-6G Texan Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net
Photos: North American T-6F Texan Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net

and if its a real SNJ, it needs a tail arrestor, right?

My preferences are aircraft in actual service schemes rather than civil schemes or reproductions. That being said, I'll still buy all the versions Dave produces...

I do a search for SNJ or Navy Texan or Navy T6 and this is what comes back.

But since I am not an expert on these things, how do I know if I am looking at an
"in service" or "reproduction in service" or "fantasy" or ""civilian" etc

I've said it before, if there is a specific livery then I need to know
otherwise you might get the "Scooby Doo Navy" version just because it
looks pretty to me!

I think a "Scooby Doo" version would look great. You can make it look like The Mystery Machine.
