Dave's Race Car collection?

While I wait for Little Willie to hit the shop, and plan my next big adventure...
I have been working on a few side projects.

One of those projects has rekindled some interest in some old Race Cars
and that has sparked the desire to try my hand at some new Car models!

But, not miniature Koolwheelz models.
These will be 1/24 scale kits.

...
I was recently contacted by a fellow who has been restoring a vintage Race car.
A one of a kind BMW 2002 Alpina Sports car from 1974.

He commissioned me to do the car in paper, and as far as I know
he plans to sell the model on his own site.
Apparently he has a site detailing the restoration work over the last ten years.
When I get the info, I'll tell you more.

But as part of our arrangement, I have retained control of the basic design
and I will be producing an alternate version (alternate paint scheme)
of this car ...in the near future.

I already have an interest in a couple of versions of this BMW,
but I also have an interest in a few other Vintage Road and Rally Sports Cars
that I would like to do in paper.

...
For now, heres a couple of photos of the finished commission...
1974 Alpina BMW 2002

Excellent! Commissions are a good thing. As part of the agreement are you prohibited from doing a build thread?

The BMW 2002 was a very common choice back then, excellent subject for a multi-version project and nice job on this one. What are the other models you have in mind?

Well, I used to own an Audi GT Coupe...
and I love some of the Road Race versions
as well as the rally and Hill Climb cars.

The Prospeed S1 Audi is built from the exact car I owned.
So, that will be the next model after the BMW 2002.

But obviously, a lot of the 70s stuff, with all the ground effects packages
and Turbocharged engines. There are a number of CanAm cars that I was
impressed with before they were outlawed.

Do you mean Trans Am series?

Trans Am started back in the sixties...so that covers a lot of cars
and a lot of race eras.

Trans Am series sounds good, especially the late sixties-early seventies Camaro, Mustang and Challenger.
